This was our very first engagement session we did on film. We are so proud of it, especially since it involves two very special people to us.

Levi is Reid’s best friend. They’ve been best friends for a loong time. It’s been one of those friendships that sometimes involved being bitter enemies (around age 8 – this probably involved one taking the other’s legos without permission) and sometimes involved being college roommates who confided in each other. Levi is a good friend to Reid, and Reid misses him since he’s joined the Navy in the last year and moved away from Montana. Levi has grown up into a man who is kind, determined, and very intelligent. He met a firecracker of a girl named Rena while they were both studying Chinese in the Navy. She’s whip-smart, funny, and gorgeous to boot. They fell in love fast – theirs is one of those “when you know, you know” kind of loves. They were just married last weekend in California. We couldn’t be there, but we were thinking of them all day and are confident it was a beautiful, love-filled day.

We were honored to have been able to take engagement photos for them when they were out visiting in July. Here is a glimpse on film into the love of these two orange halves. He hadn’t “officially” proposed yet, so he tied a string around her finger in place of a ring (the real ring was placed on her finger the next week).
