My Favorite Things Friday: PASS

It’s here!!! I came home the other day and found the package on my kitchen table. I opened it and there it was…all shiny and sleek and beautiful: our new iPad. Reid and I purchased one as a 2012 business investment. We wanted to have it to bring to client meetings, showcase our photos on it, and have it as a place to keep important applications like Words with Friends…er…I mean calendars…

We also wanted to show clients how we deliver photos now. One of the most exciting things to me about having an iPad is being able to show our clients our PASS Galleries. What is a PASS Gallery, you ask? It’s our new way of delivering digital images after a wedding or portrait session. We aren’t using DVDs anymore. Why? Because they stink. Really. But a more reasoned answer is this: DVDs break. They get scratched. They get lost.

So, instead of traditional DVDs, we are now offering PASS, a unique online storage gallery for image access and backup. No more worrying about where you placed that DVD (“Did I leave it at Aunt Erma’s?”). With PASS, you can view, share and download your images anytime from any place! You can even quickly select favorites for prints, albums and other products and easily share your images to Facebook! Which I think is pretty nifty.

You can use PASS in three ways:

1. Download the PASS Gallery Application. It’s a super easy and fact way to access your images straight from your PC or MAC desktop. You simply install the PASS software onto your computer, and your images are in your hands in seconds! There’s even a great tutorial on how PASS works right on the site.

2. Download the PASS iOS App. Do you have an iPhone or iPad? Fantastic! Visit the App Store and search for PASS. Et vΓ³ila! Your image gallery is now in the palm of your hands on your mobile device!

3. Share your PASS site with friends & family via a link we’ll send to you. So ridiculously easy!

We want to make sure we provide the best experience for you all around, from the time of the first time we talk to the day we deliver your images to you, and PASS helps us do that. I love it.

Here is a screen shot of what a PASS Gallery looks like from an iPad. You can click on any of the photos and it becomes full-screen. And when you upload them to Facebook, it allows you to view the photos full-screen WITHIN Facebook! No more of this silly resizing nonsense and pixelated messiness that FB does to your photos. They’re crystal clear and beautiful. This post is getting way too long, but I’m just excited about it and wanted to share my enthusiasm πŸ™‚ Happy Friday!
