The Honeymoon

I’ve had traveling on the brain lately. I don’t have any trips planned at the moment (a travesty in my mind), so I’m longing to pack a suitcase, purchase an airline ticket, and hop on a plane that will take me somewhere far away.

Because that’s not going to happen any time soon, I’m imagining all the lovely places I want to go, which made me think of honeymoons. I’m sure at least a few of you will be getting married within this next year, and I hope you get to go somewhere fabulous.

And that leads me to these next questions:

1. If you’ve already gone on a honeymoon, where did you go?

2. If you’re planning a honeymoon, where do you want to go?

3. And if a honeymoon has already been planned, where are you going?

I really want to know, so please leave a comment and tell me all your wonderful ideas/destinations ๐Ÿ™‚ย Here are a few places I’d consider right about now:

The Seychelles Islands: William and Catherine reportedly spent their honeymoon recently on a private island…not too shabby.

Tuscany, Italy: I’ve wanted to spend time here ever since I watched the movie “Enchanted April” when I was 8.

Brazil’s Banana Beach Resort: How cute is this place? Love the color.

The Hamptons: Seaside charm and poshness…count me in ๐Ÿ™‚

Aaron and I went to Yellowstone with lots of the people who traveled out here for the wedding, including his eighty year old grandma. We had so much fun with her, she was so excited to see everything, it was like being a kid again! Our “romantic wedding night” was in a borrowed cabin and involved resetting a bunch of maggot-y full mouse traps. I don’t even want to talk about the mattress, no not even all these years later. I guess that pretty much pegs us as dirt bags, but yeah, that was our honeymoon. “posh” doesn’t even come into it, “posh” would have been running water and clean socks. I think I broke his glasses when I set the bucket on them while he was trying to watch his face in the creek.
