“Love Means…

…never having to say you’re sorry.”

“That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.”

That’s a quote from one of my favorite movies “What’s Up Doc?”  and is a jab at the movie “Love Story,” in which Ryan O’Neil (who also stars in “What’s Up Doc?”) says “Love means never having to say you’re sorry” and actually means it. “What’s Up Doc?” makes me giggle hysterically and wish the characters really existed so I could join in on the mayhem and madness, because it looks like SO MUCH FUN! Another movie to add to your queue if you haven’t seen it already.

(Side note: I love the word “queue.” Makes me feel so British every time I say it. Cheerio, old bean. Have a cup of tea. How’s Big Ben? How’s the Tower of London, Sister Suffragette? Tuppence a bag…okay…I’m done.)

Getting to the serious point of this post…love is all about saying you’re sorry.  I have a reason for saying “I’m sorry” to Reid more times than I’d like to admit, but I know that a maintaining a good relationship is all about being able to admit to mistakes and owning up to when you’re wrong. So Reid, I’m sorry I just ate the cereal you bought and keep saying you need to take home. It was there. It looked good. It got eaten. I’m sorry.

  1. Reid says:

Weeeeell, i guess thats okay :)) I mean, you did say sorry 🙂 Besides I have more than enough cereal here for you to munch upon 😉 It was good, yes?
