I love finding beauty in the most unusual places. Like my couch. A couple of days ago, I was fiddling around with my camera and took some of photos of my couch to try out a setting. When I looked on my camera screen and saw these shots, I was struck by how even the seemingly mundane can be beautiful – it all just depends on how we look at it.

This can also be applied to the events that happen in life. We are all faced with situations that arise that we didn’t expect and certainly don’t want. But how we respond to those circumstances is ultimately up to us. One of my mom’s favorite quotes was, “There’s no way to happiness, happiness is the way.” It’s so true.
