Dear Reid,

You’re stil out working right now, and I can’t wait for you to be done so we can get on with birthday celebrations. I’ve been baking/cooking/shopping for the past two days…which, you know, is not totally like me. As much as I’d love to be a domestic goddess who always has a home-cooked meal ready, I’m more like a good intentions mortal who can barely slap a peanut butter and jelly sandwich together. Thank you for loving me anyway.

You’ve told me that birthdays have never been a huge deal for you. Well, I hope that since I’ve come onto the scene that that has been changing. I love that you were born on this day and that all these years later, you’re in my life. So I’m going to make a big deal out of it  🙂

I’m so undeserving to have such a caring, patient and wonderful man in my life.
