I remember going to The Nutcracker every year when I was little. One of my best friends growing up was an amazing ballerina, and I was so excited for her the year she was picked to play Clara. There are so many things I adored about The Nutcracker. The dark guy with the eye patch, the incredible growing tree and the rodents of unusual size kind of spooked me, but the rest of it was lovely. I remember I loved the girls’ ringlets and always wondered how they got their hair to stay so curly.
Last week, Reid and I had the pleasure of taking photos for the Montana Ballet Company’s Tea with Clara. Here are some of the highlights.

I am transported … again … by your beautiful photos!!! Darn, I wish we were going to be here this weekend.
Beautiful photos. My daughter, Marika, is the redhead in the first photo and you captured her emotion quite well.
Hi! I’m the chair of the board of directors of the Montana Ballet Company. I paid for a picture and forgot to pick it up. The picture was me, Clara and the Nutcracker. My number is 581-6861. Thank you so much.
