Darci of Beargrass Gardens Florals and Events grew up surrounded by the beautiful mountains and hills of Eureka, Montana, way up north near the Canadian border. Wanting to show off the natural splendor found there, she designed this editorial bridal shoot in an old abandoned apple orchard high in the hills, with tall grasses, aged trees, and sweeping views of the wide-open valley below – a place she used to spend summers picnicking with her family. Pulling inspiration from her childhood haunt, Darci styled a table under an apple tree that was sweet, nostalgic and utterly charming. Upon the table was a handmade quilt Darci had stitched together herself, and colorful Depression glass, a bowl of perfectly ripe strawberries, and lively, vibrant blooms bedecked the table. This shoot was inspired by summertime and the best things about the season – long days, bright colors, warm light, and summer love.
